10 Days until Christmas and counting… Looking for some last minute gift ideas? Some do-it-yourself ones or something cheep and fun but meaningful you can gift to someone you love? Here are some ideas I found floating around cyber space and put together here for you.
1.) A Homemade fort kit. Follow this link for directions. It’s super simple and really fun. What child doesn’t love building a sheet fort in the living room?
2.) Homemade bubblebath!
- 1 cup mild shampoo (baby shampoo) or a mild dish soap
- 1/3 cup Glycerin
- 2 Tablespoons of Water
- Fancy Bottle or Jar
- Essential Oil (optional)
Gently mix together the shampoo, glycerin, and water. If desired, add 10 – 25 drops of water scent of essential oil you desire, and, again, gently mix. Pour mixture into a bottle or jar that can close tightly.
3.)A gingerbread house kit.
4.) Lottery Games. Everyone can use a little extra cash in their pocket and if they aren’t winners then at least they are fun to scratch off.
5.) A Coffee mug is a classic hit.
6.)You can never go wrong with A box of chocolates.
7.) Gloves, hat, and/or scarf set for the cold winter weather.
8.) Gift card to their favorite restaurant or shop.
9.) USB drives- they come is all shapes and GBs and I know every student and overworked adult in your life will love you because it is something they actually need. Be sure to get a fun one like the new Star Wars themed one or a brightly jeweled keychain one so it never gets lost.
10.) Blanket- you can never go wrong with a warm fuzzy throw. We all love to curl up on the couch after a long day and a soft blanket is just what the Dr ordered this time of year.
So go out and get those last minute gifts weather your making them or baking them or buying them and wraping them. Have fun and be safe. Enjoy your family and the season.
