I have also included some tips to help keep your Trick or Treat night a fun safe experience.
Plan a route in advance. It’s always a good idea to have a route mapped out so you know which street you will be on and in what order that way if you become separated or someone needs to find you it’s not a mystery as to where you could be. Its easy to get lost in the sea of costumes so make sure to stay close together and avoid getting separated from your buddy or group.
Wear Comfortable shoes, you will be walking a lot! Sometimes practical is better than flashy and the one exception to your costume should be your shoes, you don’t want to fall and get hurt because your princess dress didn’t match your flats.
Be reflective, have a flashlight, reflective tape, or glow sticks. Some costumes can be very dark so when the sun goes down other people and drivers cannot see you as well.
Don’t forget to check your child’s candy. I know at the end of the evening your just ready to rest but checking the candy is one of the most important steps to insure you have a safe and fun time.
