School is back in Session around the area and Labor day is around the bend. That means its time for the 2016 Annual Portsmouth River Days Festivities!
Starting on September 1st and running through September 4th this year, The Portsmouth River days is held on the riverfront stage, arts and crafts, mid-way, rides, lots of great foods and more all for free.
The only cost is the River Days Pageant which is held on Saturday evening at 6 pm at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts at Shawnee State University. (For Information Contact Lori Lowe 740-357-0827)
On Thursday & Friday there will be music all evening long. The music begins Thursday at 6 pm With Steve Free at followed by Josh Stewart at 7:30 pm and Orleans at 9pm and Friday at 7:30 pm With Mothman followed by Electrik Circus at 7:30 pm and War Machine at 9 pm.
On Sunday there will be activities all day long with evening concerts beginning at 6 with Larry Pancake followed by Teazer at 7:30 pm, and Doc Roc and the Remedies at 9 pm and ending with a Fireworks Extravaganza at 10 pm.
The Annual Antique and Collector Car Show wraps up things on Monday from 9am to 4 pm.
