Spring has sprung and it is time for our Whats going on in the area blog posts. If you are near Portsmouth Ohio and looking for something to do check in every Wednesday to learn about the great things going on over the weekend.
For our first 2016 edition of “What’s going on near Portsmouth Ohio” We are full of swap meets, 5Ks, Hikes, and even a spring concert.
1) What: It’s a new year for LUCASVILLE TRADE DAYS! New for 2016 Parking is FREE on Fairground lots! General Admission will be $3 per person and children 12 and under get in FREE.
When: Friday April 15th; Office Building opens at 11:00am, Vendors allowed in at noon, early bird shoppers allowed at 3:00pm.
Saturday April 16th; Office Building opens at 6:00am, Open to the Public 7:00am-7:00pm
Sunday April 17th; Office Building opens at 6:30am, Open to Public 7:00am-4:00pm
Where: Scioto County Fair Grounds 1193 Fairground Rd, Lucasville, OH 45648 (Directions)
When: April 16 2016 Starting at 9:00am. Registration will begin at 7:30am on April 16th RAIN OR SHINE. Entry Fees: $25 if after April 1st or the morning of the race. Only RUNNERS are eligible for prizes, All WALKERS are welcome and Encouraged! Go here to register!

3) What: Wheelersburg flea Market. It’s Spring time and that means the Wheelersburg flea market is once again open! You can find anything from fresh produce to antiques for sale by local vendors.
When: Thursday April 14th and Saturday April 16th From daylight until 12pm or Vendors run out of items. Admission FREE
Where: The flea market takes place in a large open lot between Fifth Third Bank and Skatelan on Ohio River Rd, in Wheelersburg, OH (Directions)
4) What: Portsmouth Wind Symphony Spring presents Trumpets To The Fore
When: Sunday April 17th (For additional information on Tickets contact the McKinley Box Office at 740-351-3600)
